2017 - 2018 Youth Choir
Singing is an expression of joy, and perhaps no other medium better exemplifies this than a children’s choir.
At Holy Family, the Youth Choir will support the Liturgy at weekend Masses and Solemnities through the singing of Gregorian Chant, hymnody, Mass settings, and sacred anthems. Choristers will learn the essential elements of proper vocal technique and projection, as well as the fundamentals of sight singing and music theory. They will expand their own voices while learning the importance of blend and cohesiveness within a choir. With your child’s involvement, we will enhance the knowledge and skills of our young musicians, while building a youth choir program to continue enriching the Holy Family Parish at large.
Weekly rehearsals: Wednesdays at Holy Family Church
3:30 - 4:45 PM
Additionally, the Choristers will sing for weekend Mass approximately 1-2 times per month, as well as for major solemnities and Parish choral concerts. All rehearsals and Masses will be led by Angela Grundstad and Scott Turkington.
There is al fee per student to help cover cost of supplies.
$25.00 per student per semester (fall and spring)
$60.00 family maximum per semester (fall and spring)
Thank you and God bless!
